Capt. Thomas Loeser. – This gentleman, who served as commander of the Reading Artillerists during the Mexican war, died suddenly in Philadelphia, at the American Hotel, on Wednesday last. He was one of those noble spirits, always true to his friends and to every dictate of honor – who had but one enemy, and that was “himself to himself.”
Married on Sunday last by the Rev. Mr. Yeager, Mr. Charles Folk, to Miss Rosalinda Schmeier, both of Macungy.
Married on Sunday last, by the Rev. Mr. Yeager, Mr. George Hutroth, to Miss Fanny Weiss, both of Upper Saucon.
Married on the 4th of September, by the Rev. Mr. Dubs, Mr. Merwine Newhard, to Miss Matilda Huber, both of South Whitehall.
Married on the 9th of September, by the Rev. Mr. Dubs, Mr. Solomon Bear, to Miss Lovina D. Long, both of North Whitehall.
Died on last Friday evening, John Keiper, son of Peter Keiper, of Easton, in the 39th year of his age.
Died in Philadelphia, on Sunday last, Mr. George Heckman, formerly of Easton, aged about 60 years.
Died on the 7th of September, in South Whitehall, of Dysentary, Daniel Alexander, son of Benjamin and Susan Beisel, aged 6 months.
Died on the 12th of September, in Heidelburg, of Consumption, Benjamin Schnabel, aged 11 months.
Died on the 12th of September, in Whitemarsh, Montgomery county, of inflammation of the brain, John Jacob, son of Dr. Franklin and Anna Maria Martin, aged 3 years.
Died on the 14th of September, in North Whitehall, of intermitting fever, Mary Ann, daughter of Philip and Maria Strauss, aged 19 years.
Died on the 14th of September, in Hanover, of Dysentary, Alexander, son of Simon and Abigal Schneider, aged 9 years.
