FAST WORK – A Mr. Miller, one day last week, for a wager, undertook to husk 35 barrels of corn, from sun-rise to sun-set, which he more than accomplished, having husked 37 ½ barrels in less than nine hours, besides typing up the fodder. The feat was performed on the farm of Mr. Graham, adjoining the borough. – Carlisle Democrat.

On examining the premises after his death, no less than eleven thousand dollars were found in specie, which he had doubtless been saving and concealing for many years.
