KENDALLS IN THE REVOLUTION

ASA KENDALL, born 1735, Dunstable, Mass.; died 1816, Ashley, Mass. He was a member of the Dunstable committee, 1775 ; servel as lieutenant in Capt. James Hosley’s Volunteers, Col. Jonathan Reed’s
Regiment. He married Sarah Williams. His son Asa, Jr. (qv) married Mary Wallace; son Oliver married Lucy Wellington; daughter Mary married Nathaniel Foster.

ASA KENDALL, Jr., born 1761, Dunstable, Mass., died 1844. He served as a private in the Mass. State Militia. He married Mary Wallace. His daughter Nancy, born 1793, died 1872, married Luther Wetherbee, born 1789, died 1867.

BENJAMIN KENDALL, born 1731, Lancaster, Mass., died 1805, Preeport, Maine. He served as a private 1776-7. Married a Miss Rogers. His son Thomas married Sarah Cole.

BOWDOIN KENDALL, born and died in Virginia; served as a quartermaster in the State garrison on the Eastern Shore.

CALEB KENDALL, born 1748 in Mass. He enlisted from Shrewsbury as a private in Capt. Ezra Beaman’s company. He married Priscilla Savory. His son Joshua married Patty Sawyer.

CHEEVER KENDALL, born 1756, Framingham, Mass. ; died 1835, Hope, Maine. Served as private and sergeant with Mass. troops. Married Delly Parrish. His son George married Sarah McLane.

CUSTIS KENDAL, born in Virginia. Served as lieutenant with Virginia troops. Continental Line.

CUSTIS KENDALL, born in Virginia. Captain in the Virginia troops. Continental Line.

ETHAN KENDALL, born 25 September, 1748, Sterling, Mass. ; died there 22 September, 1834. Served as a private with Mass. troops. He married Thankful Moore, 1771. His son Oliver b,orn 1776, married 1810, Eliz. Tallman.

FRANCIS KENDALL, born Rappahannock, Co., Virginia. Served in the Virginia troop. Continental Line.

GEORGE KENDALL, born in Virginia. Served as a private in the Continental Line.

JEREMIAH KENDALL, born 1758, Paurquier Co., Virginia ; died 1843, Fayette Co., Penna. Served in the first call in the Virginia militia, and was wounded at the battle of Brandywine. He married Rhoda Mclntyre. His son William married Rachel Brown. His daughter Elizabeth married George Hesredh.

JOHN KENDALL, born in Virginia. Served as a private in the Continental Line.

JOHN KENDALL, born 1725, Dunstable, Mass.; died there 1809. Served as a minute man at the Lexington alarm. He married Hannah Kendall. His daughter Relief married Joseph “Wakefield.

JOHN KENDALL served as a private in the Mass. ^ militia. He married Rose Bryant. His son John married Nancy Kendall, a cousin.

JONATHAN KENDALL, born 1743, Hopkinton, Mass. ; died 1817, Athol, Mass. He was a minute man under Capt. John Mellin at the Ticonderoga alarm. He married Carrie Oliver. His son John, born 1772, married 1796, Susanna Eveleth.

JONATHAN KENDALL, born 1 September, 1751, Woburn, Mass. : died February, 1796. Served as a fifer in Col. John Johnson’s regiment, Capt. Edgell’s company. He married 1774, Joanna Brooks.
His son Isaac marrier 1805, Lucy Labelle.

JOSHUA KENDALL, born in New Hampshire. Enlisted 1776 as a private for sea coast defense in Col. N. Baldwin’s regiment. He married Sarah Howard. His son Joshua married Hannah Dyer.

NATHAN KENDALL, born 1726 in New Hampshire, died 1791. He was a patriot of Litchfield. He married Rebecca Coulburn. His son (qv) married Sarah Howard. His son Nathan ,Jr. (qv) married
Sarah Kendall.

NATHAN KENDALL, Jr., born 1755, Amherst, N. H., died 1846, Hillsborough, N. H. Served as a fifer at the battle of Bunker Hill under Col. John Stark. He married Sarah Kendrick. His son Nathan married Susan Wilson.

PETER KENDALL, of Virginia, served as a private in the Continental Line.

REUBEN KENDALL, born in Mass., 20 May, 1724. Served as a private in Preseott’s regiment. His daughter Molly married Sewell Blood.

TEMPLE KENDALL, born 1732, Dunstable, Mass.; died there 1822. He was a lieutenant in Capt John Ford’s company at Bunker Hill. He married Abigail Kendell, born 1733. His son Temple, born
1768, married Prudence Swallow.

THOMAS KENDALL, born 1745, Hopkinton, Mass.; died 1836, New Lebanon, N. Y. Was chaplain in Knox’s artillery regiment 1776-7. He married Mary Curtis. His son Thomas married Ruth Waters.

WAPFENDEL KENDALL, born in Virginia. Served as first lieutenant in the Continental Line, Virginia troops.

WILLIAM KENDALL, of Maryland. Took the oath of allegiance, 2 March, 1778.

WILLIAM KENDALL, Jr., of Maryland. Served in the Continental Line.

WILLIAM KENDALL, born Townsend, Mass. Served as a private in Col. Wm. Prescott ‘s regiment, marching to Cambridge to defend the colony, 1775.

WILLIAM KENDALL, born 1759, Bath, Maine; died 1827, Fairfield, Maine. Served as a drummer in various New England regiments. He married 1782, Abigail Chase. His son William marrier Sarah
Chase. His son Increase born 1798, died 1879, married 1823 Betsy Thomas, born 1806, died 1842.

WILLIAM KENDAL, born in Culpeper Co., Virginia. Served as a private in Continental Line.
