Tioga County, Penn., Settlers
In 1816, the settlers at Lawrenceville, Tioga CO. Pa., consisted of Hon. James Ford, Judge Ira Kilbum, Jacob Geer, Dt. Curtis Parkhurst, Micajah Seeley, Daniel Walker, Hiram Beebe, Dr. Simeon Power, John Ryon, Esq., Eleazar Baldwin and William Holden.
In 1834, the business men of Lawrenceville, Pa., were Hon. James Ford, Judge Ira Kilbum, Job Geer, Dr. Curtis Parkhurst, Micajah Seeley, Daniel Walker, Hiram Beebe, Dr. Lewis Darling, (Dartmouth College, 1829), John Barnes, Pardon Damon, Joel Adams, Samuel Chapman, Samuel Bogert, Job Hcrrick, Dr. Simeon Power, Clark Slosson, Rev. E. D. Wells, Henry Potter, Johnson Butts, Loren Butts, Erastus Butts, Alanson Beebe, Asa Lincoln, Norman Purple, Esq., Dr. Ralph Kimball, Mr. Higgins, Esq., Dr. Pliny Powers, Rev. Lemuel Maynard, Rev. Mr. Piatt, Calvin Cowley, Clarendon Rathbone, William Seeley, Daniel Seeley, Moses Baldwin and Buel Baldwin.
In 1787, Samuel Baker from Connecticut, made the first settlement, in Tioga county. Pa,, on the banks of the Tioga River.
