GERMAN LUTHERAN CHURCH
The German Lutheran Church in Somerset township was established in 1870, by Rev. Frederick Kohler. Its members were:
Frederick Bingner
John Bromm
William Bromm
Ludwick Broseker
Frederick Habenicht
Charles Kline
Christian Schlickerman
Daniel Shoemaker
Christian Zinke
William Zinke
The wives of the above-named were also members, excepting Habenicht.

The pastors were A. W. Mueller and Charles Lauderbach; Christian Zinke and Frederick Bingner served as trustees, and Charles Kline as deacon.

A church edifice was built in 1870 at a cost of seven hundred dollars. The organization has ceased to exist.
