Pitts – Baker – At the residence of the bride’s father in Charleston December 13, 1871, by Rev. W. Taylor, Mr. John Pitts of Richmond and Miss Sarah Baker.

Cruttendin – Webster – By the same December 20, 1871. Mr. Henry E. Cruttenden of Lambs Creek, and Miss Delphine Webster of Charleston.

Lent – Cruttenden – By the same December 20, 1871. Mr. Abijah Lent and Miss Sarah T. Cruttenden both of Lambs Creek.

Luckey – Bentley – In Wellsboro December 25, 1871, by Rev. N.L. Reynolds, Mr. J. Luckey and Miss M.J. Bentley both of Rutland

Sheppard – Smith – In Mainsburg Dec 26, 1871 by Rev. H. Lamkin. Mr. Silas E. Shepard of Fall Brook, Tioga Co., Pa. and Miss Florence L. Smith formerly of Mansfield Pa.

Orr – Symonds – In this village Dec 15, 1871 by Rev. D.D. Buck D.D. Mr. Charles Orr of Stony Fork, and Miss Mary A Symonds of the same place.

Brooks – Peake – In the bride’s home in Charleston Dec 28, 1871 by Rev D.D. Buck D.D. Mr. H Otis Brooks and Miss Electa Peake. [We acknowledge the receipt of a choice lot of cake, and extend our thanks to the happy pair]

Meed – Benedict – In Elkland boro at the residence of the bride’s parents, Dec 27th, 1871, by Rev E.B. Benedict. Mr. William B Meade and Miss Eva M Benedict daughter of the officiating clergyman.

Copestick – Wilcox – At the home of the bride Jan1, 1872 by Rev J.F. Calkins. Mr. Thomas Copestick and Miss Caroline A Daughter of Job Wilcox both of Delmar.

DEATHS

Clark – In Wayne Steuben county N.Y. December 1, 1871, Lewis Clark aged 66 years.
