The church of the Evangelical Association, in Salisbury, was organized by Rev. Jacob Boas in 1836. The first class- leader and sabbath- school superintendent was John Smith. The pastors have been:

Rev. ____ Doll
Rev. Aaron Bowers
Rev. ____ Eberhart

The church was erected in 1851, at a cost of seven hundred dollars. The congregation numbers seventy- three members. The sabbath school consists of sixty scholars.
