On Thursday afternoon, at Kutztown, Berks county, a man named Charles Biehl, purchased a revolver, loaded it, and went to a brick-yard, where he fired at a young man named Silas Snyder, killing him instantly. Some say that Biehl was intoxicated and that the deed was accidental; others say it was designedly, Biehl ran away, and on Saturday had not yet been arrested.
Married on the 5th inst., by Rev. J. Gring, Henry Dollem to Sarah Eberly, both of Jackson.
Married on the 7th inst., by Rev. F. W. Kremer, Mr. Geo. F. Ely, of N. Lebanon, to Miss Kate L. Fellenbaum, of this Borough.
Died on the 11th inst.m, in Cornwall, after a protracted illness, Miss Polly Riechert, aged 53 years, 2 months and 16 days.
Died on the 4th inst., in Union, Mr. Peter Good, aged 76 years, 3 months and 27 days.
Died on the 11th inst., in North Lebanon, Mr. Michael Hoffman, sr., aged about 74 years.
