David Lawrence Fiscus

 December 30, 1938 - August 29, 2002

David L. Fiscus, 63, of 2248 Lima Ct., Aurora, CO, died on Thursday, August 29, 2002, at the Aurora Hospital.

Born in Rose Township, Jefferson County, on December 30, 1938; he was the son of Stephen F. Fiscus and Lyda L Walter.

He was married on August 19, 1978, to Kumsoon Bae in Korea.

Mr. Fiscus was a retired computer Analyst/ programmer, and a veteran of the U.S. Army reserves. He was a member of the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Aurora CO.  

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jonathan J. Fiscus. Also three other children from a previous marriage; A daughter Marion Lyda Lizik, West Mifflin PA., and sons, Kenneth M. Fiscus, of Bowie, MD , and Stephen Scott Fiscus of Champaign, IL. Three sisters, Freda L. Knestaut, of Balston Spa, NY, and Mary Susanne Martz, Balston Spa, NY, Rose Ann Acker , Colorado Springs, CO. Four brothers, Robert A. West Friendship, MD. Francis Jerome Brookville, PA, his twin brother, Daniel S.,  Brookville, PA, and Wayne R. ("Dusty") of Prescott, AZ. Five grand-children, and many nieces and nephews.

David attended the Immaculate Conception School in Brookville. He graduated from the Brookville High School in 1957. While in High School David excelled on the football field.

After graduation he spent 6 months active duty with the U.S. Army Reserves. He worked in construction and various other occupations while earning a college degree. He became employed in civil service as a computer analysts/programmer and traveled abroad for a number of years before coming to reside in Aurora CO. David enjoyed hunting and golfing.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday September 2, 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Aurora CO, with Rev. Father Jack Hunthausen officiating.
