Darrell "Butch" Plyler

Darrel "Butch" Plyler, 66, 152 Hiawatha St., Brookville, died Saturday at his home.
Born Oct. 3, 1938, in Brookville, he was the son of the late Earl H. and Harriet M. Smith Plyler. He was married to Judy M. Glhousen, June 12, 1957. They were married for 48 years. She survives.
He worked as a brakeman/conductor for the Pittsburgh & Shawmut Railroad for 39 years.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
He was a member of the Brookville Eagles No. 983, the National Rifle Association, the Pinecrest Country Club, the Brookville Fire Department since 1960 and was the Brookville Lions Man of the Year in 2000.
He was the Chairman of Cad Emery's Memorial Fish Contest.
He was an avid golfer, outdoorsman, hunter and fisherman.
He is also survived by one son, Derek Plyler of Medina, Ohio; and one sister, Mrs. Charles (Roberta) Haugh of Brookville.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert S. Plyler
PLYLER: Darrel "Butch, 152 Hiawatha St., Brookville, died Aug. 27, 2005. Friends will be received from 1-8 p.m. today at the McKinney Funeral Home in Brookville. A funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home with Pastor James Merkley officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill Cemetery, Knox Dale. Memorial donations may be made to the Brookville Volunteer Fire Company, the Pine Creek Volunteer Fire Company, the Knox Dale United Methodist Church or the Center Hill Cemetery Association.
