Elizabeth J. "Betty" (Richards) Petty

June 10, 1939 - January 23, 2010

Elizabeth J. "Betty" Petty, age 70, one of earth's Heavenly angels, went Home to be with the Lord Saturday, January 23, 2010.

She was born in Brookville, PA June 10, 1939, the daughter to the late Joseph and Caroline (Pitts) Richards.

A homemaker, Betty had attended the Massillon (Ohio) Baptist Temple.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby L. Petty; two daughters, Debra (Roger) James of Frametown, W. VA, and Melody (Rodney) Carpenter of Massillon; two sons, Bobby L. Petty, Jr. of Weed, Calif. And William J. (Susan) Petty of North Canton; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Jean Smith of Reynoldsville, PA; and a brother, James A. (Laura) Richards of Lakeland, FL.

Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Atkinson-Feucht-Hare Funeral Home in Navarre with Rev. Bruce McLaughlin officiating.

Visitation will be 6 – 8 pm Tuesday January 26 at the funeral home in Navarre. Burial will be in East Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre.
