Maria Hall,

after a prolonged illness.
Born March 19, 1939, in
Corsica
, he was the son of the late William and Mary (Bowler) Shaffer. He was married
to Joan E. Hone on September 17, 1960. She survives.
He graduated from
Brookville
High School
in 1957.
He received his bachelor's degree and master's degree in
business administration from
California
State
University
in
Bakersfield
,
Calif.
He was the safety and security manager for Berwick
Industries Inc. for the past 10 years, previously working 35 years as the plant
manager for the Smithers Oasis Company in
Bakersfield
.
He was an avid sports fan and also a model railroad
hobbyist.
He is also survived by two sons, Derrick, Bloomsburg, and
Devin,

; one daughter, Leslie, Bloomsburg; one brother, George Shaffer,
Branson
,
MO
; one sister, Esther Walk,
Stow
,
Ohio
; and five grandchildren.
