Donald L. Schuckers, 72, McAninch Road, Brookville, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at home.

Born Jan. 17, 1940, in Brookville, he was a son of the late Lorraine M. Schuckers and Martha L. Hinderliter Schuckers. He was married to Norma Wolfe Sept. 8, 1964, in Winchester, Va. She survives.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He worked as a union carpenter for Hallstrom Construction in DuBois.

He was a member of the Carpenter's Union Local 947 and the John M. Read Lodge No. 536 Free & Accepted Masons in Reynoldsville.

He loved farming, fishing, recreational vehicle camping, and was an avid outdoorsman. He especially loved his family.

He is survived by two daughters, Amy S. Fraccola of Brookville and Julie M. (Jeffrey) Linde of Marietta, Ga.; one son, James Donald (Angela) Schuckers of Brookville; three sisters: Mary Ann (Gene) Mineweaser of Brookville, Carol (Ronald) Ebersole of Cleona, and Elizabeth Jane (Alan) Crooks of White Plains, N.M.; one brother, Gary L. (Barbara) Schuckers of Brookville; seven grandchildren: Anthony, Cody, Julia, Michael, Alyssa, Aaron, and Shealene; one great-granddaughter, Aaliyah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at McKinney Funeral Home, Brookville. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Bockus and the Rev. Katrina Landre officiating. Burial will be in Milliron Cemetery, Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.
