My Pepple family probably moved to Mt. Pleasant, IA abt 1857. My query is: are there any records of tavern owners and preachers which would shed further light on where in Bedford Co. Jonathan and Rebecca lived. I could not find them in the land records. Are there any death records involving Ada or Daniel?

I am looking for information on the HOWARD family. Specifically the family from Westmoreland County in the Fairfield Township area. I have been able to find a Henry HOWARD who first showed up on the 1840 census at 40 years old and had a wife named Mary, 2 years younger. They had 4 children, Henry, James, Samuel and Mary who died at 2. I traced them all the way to 1860, but that is as far as the census goes. Also a John Howard appeared in 1870. He was 41, and had a wife named Catherine 39 with 3 children, John, Henry, and Lizzie. One of these was the decendent of my husbands great grandfather. But I can't make the connection until I can find them after 1870.Richard Blanton Wed Jul 9 19:02:07 1997
