A lovely summer wedding of interest to this community and Parksburg was solemnized in the Parkesburg Methodist Church, Friday evening, July 29th at8:15 p.m., when Miss DOROTHY MAE TOWNSLEY, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. LEVI TOWNSLEY, Parkesburg, became the bride of GEORGE THOMAS SMITH, son of Mr. And
Mrs. FRED L. SMITH, Oxford.  Rev. CHARLES WONDERLY, Pen Argyl, Pa. Officiated
at the double ring ceremony in the presence of a large congregation ofrelatives and friends. The bride, a graduate of Parkesburg High School and West Chester State
Teachers College is a member of the Cochranville Consolidated School faculty,being music supervisor there.  The groom was graduated from Oxford High
School and The General Motors Institute, Flint, Mich.  After high school, hespent two years in the U.S. Army Air Force, receiving his wings as a fighterpilot aat the Dothan Air Base Feld, Dorthan, Ala.  He is associated withKimble Pontiac Agency

     The death of Joseph S. Heald occurred on Monday last
at the County Asylum for the Insane at Embreeville, in his
75th year.  He was a native of Kennett Square and had
long been a resident of Delaware and afterwards of his
native place.  A citizen of high intelligence, character
and patriotic impulses, serving three years in the Union
army during the Civil War.  His wife and only sister,
Mary Heald Way, of Oxford survive.  Burial this Thursday
from his late residence in Kennett Square.
