- EHRHART, MEYER posted by Scott on Friday, June 9, 2000
- The persons I am researching are George Henry Meyer and Christina Ehrhard who were married in Clearfield County about 1833 or 1834. Both were born in Germany, Christina in the city of Stuttgart in the (then) Kingdom of Wurttemburg.
George was one of the original three trustees of the Mount Carmel Evangelical Lutheran Church Society of Karthaus and Covington townships when it was organized on the 4th day of February, 1854. This fact is mentioned in History of Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, edited by Lewis Cass Aldrich. Sometime after this they moved to Iowa County, Wisconsin and in the early 1880s to Thayer County, Nebraska.
Any help regarding them or possible relations would be appreciated. Scott

- KIRBY, STEWART posted by Jon Noring on Friday, June 16, 2000
- Hello, I'm curious to see if anybody here has any more information on the descendents of Dr. G.W. Stewart (?George W.), who married Mollie Kirby in Williamsburg, PA on 12 Nov. 1861. They were married by Mollie's brother, Rev. Edmund Wesley Kirby, a ME minister serving at the time in Williamsburg, PA. (This information came from the Altoona Tribune of 21-Nov-1861). This request is being posted to the Clearfield county forum because it was also mentioned in the announcement that Dr. G.W. Stewart hailed from "New Washington", which from other evidence is mostly likely New Washington Township in west Clearfield Co. (Rev. Kirby served there the prior year.) I'm actually interested in finding Mollie Kirby's ancestry, since my research area is Rev. Edmund W. Kirby, my wife's direct Kirby ancestor. Edmund's and Mollie's parents were John H. Kirby of Maryland and Ann (Mary) Mansfield of England (this is *all* I know of them). Virginia and Maryland figure prominently in the Kirby family -- the connection with Pennsylvania is minor (Mollie was likely visiting her brother in PA when she met Dr. Stewart). So my actual focus is mainly on Mollie Kirby, where she was born, where she died, her obituary, siblings, etc., etc. If Dr. G.W. Stewart stayed in Clearfield county, that is where I'd find this information on her.

Looking for information where RobertCampbell and wife Rhoda McMasters are buried. It is possible that they are buried at Rabbit Hill. Robert Campbell was the son of Robert Campbell, Sr., "The Fifer" in Rev War. Robert, Sr. and wife Rachel Morrison were from Tioga and Lycoming Counties of PA. Grandfather Samuel Campbell came to US in 1740 at the age of two from Ireland/Scotland.
Also I have a picture of Sarah Palmer Campbell wife of Ogden Campbell (son of above Robert, Jr.) with a baby on her lap that is identified as Baby John McMasters which was taken in the early 1900's. Would love to share information! Thanks! Bonnie Prete (mprete@neo.lrun.com or preteb@plante-moran.com) PS Visited Rabbit Hill in summer of 1998 - have map and directions to share.
