The original church was a wooden building that was built about 1850 and torn down about 1925. A brick church replaced the original, and this church burned on March 8, 1959. On July 8, 1960 the present United Methodist Church was dedicated. Many pioneers of Goshen are buried in the cemetery beside the church:
- Taylor
- Flegal
- Shaw
- Graham
- Straw
- Morrison
- Koozer
- Tate
- Sankey
- Hainsey
- Bumgardner
- Read.
