Once primarily a logging and lumbering area, Spring Creek Township was settled in the mid-nineteenth century. In time, other industries such as tanneries, chemical works and farming began to prosper according to the needs of a growing population. Recreation and Tourism are the main focus for the future. The Clarion River, which runs through the township, provides river fishing, canoeing and breathtaking scenery to nature lovers.
