The Helen Furnace cemetery is located on State Road 1005 about 3/4 mile south of Helen Furnace. Heading south from Helen Furnace there is a dirt road on the right about 1/2 mile before the intersection with State Road 1004. There is currently no sign for the cemetery.
Most of the original families of Highland Township are buried in this cemetery including Alexander and Jennet McNaughton.
The oldest marked grave in the cemetery is that of Elizabeth Reed who died April 23, 1818 at the age of 86. The cemetery has a large number of unmarked graves. Many of these unmarked graves have Civil War markers.
