Thomas Evans was born in Cilycwm (Cilcum?) Carmarthen, Wales in 1758. He died in Cilycwm on August 25, 1812. He married Hannah Thompson. Hannah was born in 1767 and died in January, 1846. Both are buried at the Old Church of England, Cilycwm, Wales. Their children were Thomas, John, Hannah, Richard, Evan, David, Daniel, and William. All died in Wales except Thomas and William. Thomas died in Armstrong County in 1850. William Evans was born in Cilycwm in 1810. He married Esther Evans (we think her maiden name was also Evans) but we don't know where or when. They came to America in 1841. They lived near East Brady, Armstrong County before settling in Jefferson County in 1848 at Richardsville, Warsaw Township. Esther died in 1856, William in 1887. Both are buried in the Baptist Cemetery in Richardsville. They had 12 children, three died in childhood. The others were, Elizabeth, Thomas, William, Anna, John, Lewis Robert, George, Mary Ann, and Wallace Samuel. Lewis Robert was born near East Brady, Armstrong County on July 14, 1844. He married Julia Ann Preston on May or July 29, 1866. In 1864, Lewis bought the family farm from his father. `
Lewis and Julia had the following children, Charles Wallace, William Grant, Elizabeth May, Luther Ellis, Harry Lewis, Darwin Leroy, and Julia. On July 18, 1882, Julia Ann died. On July 30, 1884, Lewis married Fannie H. Byers. They had the following children, Mable Hettie, Parker Blaine, Lottie Ina, Thomas Carl, and Hulet Conley. Lewis died on January 14, 1931.
Sewis enlisted in the Union Army in 1864. He was in Company F, First Battalion, Pennsylvania Volunteers.
Harry Lewis Evans was born in Richardsville on May 7, 1873. He married Laura Elizabeth Vasbinder on June 25, 1897. They had the following children, Margaret May, Vera Ruth, Edna, and Alice Caroline. Harry began as a school teacher in Jefferson County. He eventually worked for thr Blaw-Knox Company and moved to the Hoboken section of O'Hara Township in Allegheny County. He helped organize that area into the town of Blawnox and he was the first Burgess. Harry Lewis died there on August 7, 1939.
Vera Ruth Evans married Charles William Lodge on August 24, 1929 in the Hoboken Presbyterian Church in Blawnox. They are my parents.
