George Ford landed at the harbor in New York City alluding a pirate raid. George had a deed for land thru the King of England's land grant to William Penn he settled in the Sulgar Ridge area in an east direction from Brookville. There he set up a saw mill cleared some land, married and raised a family.
George had 139 acres of land, proprietor of saw mill and lumberman in Pin Creek Twp., Jefferson County.
