Gone But Not Forgotten.... Around the turn of this century, visitors to Brookville found a choice of hotels in town. In the middle of the borough's busiest street stood the elegant three story brick American Hotel. Just down the street, at the corner of Main and Pickering was the Central Hotel, another three story brick structure. Over on the east end of town was the Longview Hotel (later the Pennsylvania Memorial Home). Other smaller hotels could also be found around town that, coupled with various boarding houses, made certain there was no lack of lodging in Brookville!
