- I would love to know more about the Jefferson County history of the Lingenfelters. But I am interested in it all!
Although I have not researched much in other lines, I also have an interest in: My sister-in-law's mother was a Lingenfelter, her father was Claus. I am trying to get more information and dates on that line. And my maternal grandmother was a Lingenfelter, her father was George Oslan. I do not have anything else to go on there either. - I know these people must have at least passed through Jefferson Co. My grandmother: Rosella Agnes Clark was born in Brockway, Elk Co. PA and my father (Robert Claire Neal) was born in Armstrong Co. Redbank Twp. PA. Rosella's father and mother (Perl Clark and Minnie Cloe Bennett) were from Clearfield Co.
I am searching for clues and/ or family members. My father's name was Robert Claire Neal b. 1934 in Red Banks Twp. Armstrong Co. PA. His father was Emmett Quay Neal b. 1915 in Dayton, PA. His father was James Roy Neal born in 1892, Unknown. His father was Wesley Neal born UNKNOWN, buried in Puxsnany. PA
Wesley's wife, James' mother died when James was eight months old. I do not know her name but believe it may have been Rachel Long, daughter of Jacob Long in Armstrong County, PA.
They had several children, James was raised by relatives after is mother's death. I don't know what happened to his brothers and sisters. I would appreciate any leads or information leading to the discovery of this line.

- My ancestor was Susan Jane Aldous (b. sept22, 1872) she was married to George William Spencer in 1887 in Brookville, Jefferson, Co., PA. Susan's father was Aaron Aldous (b. England). Family lore has it that Aaron Aldous worked in the coal mines and was decended from English nobility. I'm not sure there's a connection, but if Emma is Jane's sister I'd love any info you have.

- Trying to find a trace of the SPACKMANS who lived in Jeffers County, PA. The last information I have, Harry B. Spackman was listed in the Polk's Punxsutawney City Directory of 1910-11 as a lineman for the Summerville Tel Co. and living at 103 Greenwood Ave. H.B. Spackman was born abt. 1864 to Matthew and Sarah Ann Spackman. According to an obituary of Matthew's fathr, Matthew was living in Stanton, PA in 1875.
