- 1860 Census lists David HIME (age 55), Salome (age 53), children Sarah, Catharine, Mary, Rosianna, William, Ellen B.,& Joel. All b: in Pa. 1870 census lists David HIMES, Salome, Joel, and two unreadable names. (the film is very faint from the New Castle Public Library, able to make out only some of the information). However it says Salome is born in Switzerland., person listed at bottom of household is also b: in Switzerland. - I have a copy of my g.grandmother's obit. from April 1919. Her name was Sarah MYERS. The funeral service was held at the home of her son William ELLENBERGER on Worth St. Reynoldsville,Jefferson Co. Pa. and "interment was made in the cemetery at Panic." She was "one of the pioneer residents of the Panic section".
