- COLOSANTE, PACE posted by Susan Giddings on Friday, August 20, 1999
- According to the family, my grandmother, Cecelia COLOSANTE was born on March 17, 1902, in Rossiter, Indiana County, PA. However, I have been unable to find a record of that. Rossiter sits on the county line between Indiana and Jefferson County. Is it possible that her birth was recorded in Jefferson??? Can any give me names of Catholic Churches in the area?? After her mother's death, she was raised in an orphanage that was run by German Catholic Nuns. Supposedly, it burnt down some time later after my grandmother left (possible 1920's, maybe later, don't know). Does this sound familiar to anyone??? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

- I am looking for information on Alexander Kaminski. He was born in Poland in 1865 and came to America in 1891. He died in Reynoldsville, Jefferson Co., PA in 1918, and is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery. His wife was Helena Ziemkiewicz. I am desperately seeking Alexander's obituary or death notice or something that might give me even the actual date of his death. He was a coal miner. A Dronislawa Kaminski is listed on the 1900 Federal Census for his household, but the family relationship is unknown. (She is 19, listed as domestic servant, and immigrated 2 months prior.).
