This Cemetery is located just south of Akron, Pa., about one fourth mile east of Route 272, about two hundred feet off Tobacco Road, which is located right off South Ninth Street in Akron. A Mrs. Weaver presently owns this land. The Cemetery is located across the road from the farm and has an iron fence around it. There is a path to the Cemetery.
There are six graves;
1. James Sharpless died August 10, 1781; he was the stepson of George Widder
2. George Widder, born May 1722, died January 12, 17955, at the age of 73 years and 8 months.
The transcript on his headstone reads like this.
Here rest Jorg Widder born May 1 722 died 12 January 1795. Lament me not my loves and be you not sorrowful because I go before you only. Where I have gone so you must arrive through this darkness of death's valley.
On the back of the headstone reads this;
My remaining widow loyal and her ____have yet_____from ____in the year 1795.
3. Adam, Son of George and Elizabeth Stock, died September 18, 1821. Aged 1 year, 7 months and 8 days.
4. Adam, Son of George and Elizabeth Stock, died December 17, 1822. Aged 1 year, 3 months and 23 days.
5. Elisabeth, wife of George Stock and daughter of Jacob and Elisabeth Glaser. Died April 7, 1823. Age 33 years, 2 months and 0 days.
6. George Stock, to the memory of George Stock born the first February 1792 died the 12th of August 1832. His age 40 years, 6 months and 11 days.
George Widders will was written on January 6, 1795 and proved on February 2, 1795
