He moved to White Deer Twp, Northumberland Co c1790 and then to Venango Co in 1804 where he died, 1804. James McGinnis m Martha Bridget nee Wilson c1790. The Doris Ritzinger Collection at the P.H.S. The brothers came to america c1740, lived in DE state & Lancaster Co, PA. Some of their descendants are said to have removed to White Deer Twp, Northumberland Co, PA where our James McGinnis also lived. Does anyone have any info on the McGinnis families of Lancaster Co, their ancestry or descendants? John Franklin Meginness was a famous historian in the 1800's from Lancaster Co. BENDER: Searching for any information on the family and/or descendants of Hans Georg BENDER (1699-1767) and his first wife, Kathrina HOSTETTER (1701-1740). They came to Lancaster County from Rhineland Pfalz Wurttemberg in 1731 and settled at Bender's Mill, Chickies Creek, Donegal Township. Especially interested in their twin sons, Johann Peter (1737-1820) and Johann Henirich (1737-?). Peter married Catherine BABB and relocated to Plainfield Township, Northampton County. Heinrich married Catherine BETZ and I believe remained in Lancaster County. Other children from this first marriage included Johann Georg (1722-?) who married Maria Regina KRAEMER; Maria Magdalena (1724-?); Anna Katrina (1728/29-?) who married Hartman VERDRIESS; Johann Jacob (1740-1820) who married Elizabeth Catherine SCHAFER and relocated to Northampton County. I am more than willing to share what information I have.
