STOCKTON - I am trying to verify that Davis Stockton came to LancasterCo in the decade of the 1720s. After discovering that LancasterCo was formed from ChesterCo in 1729, that would have to be very close to the correct year. All I have right now is that he was born in Northern Ireland in 1685-90 and he, his wife Sarah, and thair older children were sup- posed to have come over at that time. I also have found that a daughter Elizabeth (Betsy) was born in England in 1715. That would possibly mean that they actually came from England when they embarked. Another child, a son, named Thomas (m Rachel Arnold) and all had moved to GoochlandCo,VA (now known as AlbemarleCo,VA). This line tracks right down to me. The line leads thus PA>VA>NC>KY>KS>OK. KNUPP-KNOPP-HOOVER Seeking information on Christian Knupp or Knopp, born 1799, in Lanscaster Co.(?). Married a Barbara Hoover, ca. 1823-25. THOMAS I am looking for information on John P. THOMAS Sr. and John P. Thomas Jr. J.P senior came to Lancaster Co. from Wales prior to 1755, at which time he relocated to Chester Co. South Carolina. In 1765 he moved a few miles to the west in Union Co. S.C. These two counties were originally part of the Pendleton District. DYER, John Sr. born in 1699 in Pennsyvania. I am looking for a birth record. I know that he was living in Lancaster, PA in 1733 and attended a Quaker meeting in Chester County in 1728. His wife's name was HANNAH GREEN who was born in 1706, probably also in PA. They were married before 1728 in PA. Their children were William (1728 in PA, wife: MARGARET HIATT); Hester (1731, husband: MATTHEW PATTON), Hannah(1734, husband: FREDERICK KEISTER) and Sarah (1741, husband: PETER HAWES).
