- Has anyone heard of the Salem Church of the Evangelical Association in Lancaster County, probably in the town of Lancaster? My great great grandparents Addison Cicero JESSUP and Abigail ODELL were married there in 1832. However, they came from Walden, Orange County NY and Ramapo, Rockland County NY. I don't know why they went to Lancaster to marry as they returned to NY to live. Addison was an Episcopal and Abigail was Quaker. Thanks.

- Thomas MORRISON, will 26 Oct. 1748. Thomas purchased 300 acres of land July 23, 1735, in the county of Lancaster on the West Branch of Conestogoe Creek & adjoining to Robert VERNER in Lebanon Township. In his will he mentioned that he wanted his wife and children to live on the place if they can manage it and if they cannot I allow my Executors to sell it. He mentions his son John, b. 1743. I have not been able to locate a deed where his executors sold his property or an Orphan Court Record where the court appointed a guardian for his minor son, John. His son John moved to Rowan Co., NC abt. 1750 with his uncles, James, William and Andrew. Does anyone have any information on Thomas' children and when his property was sold.

- I am searching for the family of Thomas MITCHELL, b. abt 1785 PA, but moved west to Lancaster Co. Family letters say that Thomas MITCHELL moved west around 1820 to 1830 and settled with his family in Boone Co., IL. He shows on the 1840 and 1850 census of Boone Co. The 1850 census lists Thomas MITCHELL, age 65, b. PA, farmer; wife Esther (Hester CROWLEY), age 56, b. MD. Children: Samantha, age 16, b. PA; Elvira, age 10, b. IL; and George Shink, age 2, b. IL. Two older son's are known; Samuel, b. ca 1820 PA, and Peter, b. 22 Sep 1828 Lancaster or Fayette Co., PA. Family letters say that Thomas' father was a "bodyguard" for George Washington and was at the hanging of Major Andre. These ltr's do not state Thomas' father's name. I have found 3 Thomas MITCHELL's in Philadelphia Co. on the 1830 census. I am going to research each of these families and others in PA to see if there is a connection. Like to make a connection with others who may think this is their family.

Also Mary Eshleman who married an Abraham Lehman WENGER. She was born in 1834 I think. And last I am searching for William SEIVERLING born 1874,which could be spelled SEIBERLING.

- My 3rd gr gr parents married by proclamation in Lampeter Twp, Lancaster Co. Dec 1770.Does anyone know if there are records for marriages by proclamation? If so, where would be the best place to look? I'm trying to find the parents of the bride, Christina BERONHAEUSERIN. The spelling for the surname was found at Trinity Lutheran in Lancaster. Does anyone know of other spellings? The groom was Joh. Heinrich ORTHGIESS. Thank you.

- Looking for Benders in Lancaster Co. Reuben BENDER and wife Mary, John Bender, Henry Bender. Reuben had a son George who married Ellen FARRELL. He died in 1925 at age 96.

- I am searching for information on Alfred T. BLACK. He married Mary FAGER and had 3 sons, including my grandfather Robert F. Black (b. Nov. 2, 1889). The family story is that Alfred was thrown out of the house by the sons for abusing Mary while drunk. No other information is known, except that his father was possibly Andrew K(rause?) Black.
