Last Will and Testament

In the name of God Amen I Abraham Bucher of Williams
Township in the County of Northampton and state of Pennsylvania,
Yeoman being in good heath of Body and of sound mind and memory
praised be God for the same and being desirous to settle my
worldly affairs whilst I have strength and capacity so to do. Do
publish this my Last Will and Testament. And first of all I
commit my soul into the hands of my creator who gave it and my
body to the earth to be buried at the discretion of my executors
hereinafter named and as to such worldly estate where with it has
pleased God to entrust. I dispose of the same as follows to wit:
I give and bequeath to my dear wife Sarah all me beds and
bedding, all my household and kitchen furniture that she may want
for her use, all the cows that I may have at the time of my
decease plow, harrow, XXXX? and one horse. It is my Will and I do
order and and direct my executors to sell as soon as convenient
after my decease a Lot of land suppose to corda in about six
acres adjoining Lands of Moses Applegate, William Vogel and
others and for that purchase I empower my executors to give and
execute to the purchaser or purchasers a good and sufficient deed
in fee simple the residue and remainder of my Real Estate. I give
and bequeath to my wife Sarah during her natural life and at her
decease It is my Will that the surviving executor Will the same
and give a deed in fee simple to the purchaser and the money
arising from the sale whereof together with the personal estate I
dispose of as follows to wit: one eighth part thereof to my
daughter Margaret, one eighth thereof to my son Moses,
one eighth thereof to my son William, one eighth thereof to my
daughter Sarah, one eighth thereof to my daughter
Catherine, one eighth thereof to my son Samuel, one
eighth thereof to my daughter Ann, and the remainder one
eighth thereof to my son John. And it is further my Will
that the one eighth that is be queathed to my daughter Sarah to
be given her and no part thereof to go into the hands of her
husband. John Warner. And lastly I make and ordain my wife Sarah
executrix and my son Moses executor of this my Last Will and
Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
seal the twenty second day of August in the year of our Lord One
Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Nine - 1829.Abraham Bucher
his mark Signed sealed published and declared by the above
named Abraham Bucher as and for his last Will and Testament in
the presence of us who at his request and in his presence have
subscribed our names as witnesses . Thereunto the writs one
eighth thereof to my son William being first interlined
Samuel S. Long -- William Long -- Northampton County for on the
23rd day of March AD 1840? Before my Michael Meyers,
register for the probate of Wills and granting letters of
Administration in and for the County of Northampton personally
came Samuel S. Long and Wi lliam Long the subscribed witnesses to
the preceding Will and being duly sworn according to the law did
advise and say that they were present and saw and heard Abraham
Bucher the Testator sign with his mark seal publish pronounce and
declare the foregoing instrument of writing in and for his Last
Will and Testament that at the time of so doing he was of perfect
and sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their
knowledge observation and belief. Witness my hand M. Meyers Reg.
--March 27th, 1840 Letters Testamentory were granted
to the executors above named. They have first been duly sworn
according to law.
