Enlisted April 26, 1865 at Philadelphia andcommissioned as a 1st Lieutenant.  He wasmustered out with the Regiment July 31, 1865 at Fort Delaware.

Earlier he served in Company H of the 11thPennsylvania Volunteers and Company A of the 19th Pennsylvania Volunteers.
