- Working on SKINNER family (families) - specifically Chauncey R. SKINNER and wife Urilla. Also family of their son Chauncey A. SKINNER and his wife Abigail. They were back and forth between Potter and Tioga Cos. from 1827 to after 1860. I have a feeling that their farm lay on the county line. Chauncey R. was born in abt 1797 in CT and Urilla the same year in VT. They lived in NY where they had two daughters (names unk.),William D. and Soloman. They then moved to PA by 1827 and had Chauncey A. They are on the Potter Co.census in 1830. Want to share :)

- DODGE posted by Kay Brownell Reed on Wednesday, May 17, 2000
- DODGE -- Thanks to the interest of Bob and Rose Matthews who just moved to Potter Co. from Orlando, Florida, we have found the burial place of Israel and Mary Dodge and an infant child. They purchased the old DODGE farm in Elmer and tried to have part of it made into a cemetery. In doing so they found it already had that classification and know the place where Israel, Mary, and Infant Dodge are buried. They plan to have it marked this summer sometime.
