Looking for information on an Elmer HILL aka: VOSS. Mr. Hill was convicted in September of 1915 of manslaughter in the death of Clinton Salmon. The murder took place in Gold, Pa. on 5/29/1915. Mr. Hill was in Gold, PA. to pick up Caroline Rosella Miles Crance AKA: Rosie CRANCE from her sister Hannah Miles Salmon's home and return with Rosie Crance to their residence. Per a newspaper account: There was a confrontation between Mr. Salmon and Mr. Hill when Mr. Hill was asked to leave the house. During the ensuing fight Mr. Salmon was stabbed in the back by Mr. Hill and died a week later from his wound. Is anyone familiar with this case? Does anyone know where Mr. Hill was imprisoned after his conviction? Also, would like to know if Mr. Hill had any family, i.e., parents, siblings.

BITTLER, Anna Katherine (b. 29 Oct 1900 d. Dec 1962) Anna was born in Coudersport, PA and died in Bradford, PA. Parents are William Bittler & Minnie L. Smith. Sibling are Violet M. (b 11 Oct 1885), Norris N (b. 8 Nov 1886) Arthur (b. 4 Aug 1891)Mildred J (b. 27 May 1894). Anna first husband was Thomas Laurance Watson married about 1919. Anna second husband was David Ross (b. 28 Aug 1902 in Greenock, Scotland d. Dec 1987) married on July 4, 1931 in Coudersport, PA. If anyone has any information on this family please contact me.
