- ALLEN, ASHLEY posted by Ruth O'Dell on Friday, December 12, 2003
- I am looking for any information as to who the parents of Etta ASHLEY ALLEN were. She was my grandmother and I assume was born sometime in the mid to late 1800's.Her husband's name was William Allen.I am unsure of his middle name. They had 13 children. She died at the age of 91.My father's name was Howard Wrenwick Allen Sr..He was in the army in 1928. His first wife was Mildred Krouse. His second wife was Thelma Tarr. His third wife was Sarah Jane Fletcher, my mother, who was born in 1929.(She was the daughter of George Roy Fletcher and Mary Katherine Stewart.).Howard W. Allen sr. was born February 24,1909 and died January 27, 1978.He was also a licensed minister. He had a brother named Leo John Allen who was born in 1910 and died in 1995. He also had a brother Charles F. Allen. One of my father's brothers was known by "Red",and his wife's name was Gertrude.I also believe that my father had a brother William H.Allen, born July 21,1894 and died December 29, 1963. To the best of my knowledge all of the children born of William and Etta Ashley Allen were born in Pennsylvania. Some of the Allen's had moved to California and possibly Ohio. If anyone has ANY information regarding any of these names PLEASE feel free to contact me by e-mail anytime.I was six years old when my dad died, and now I have children of my own. I would like to know some family history that I can pass down to them.Thank you for taking the time to read this.God bless you.
