Ellen was a gracious lady, bringing happiness and cheer. Her ways were ways of kindness, that's how she lived from year to year. She was faithful in taking such good care of her Mom and Dad, Now that Ellen's gone away, our hearts are truly sad.An industrious lady with many talents to command. She raised three sons--who now rise up and her virtures commend. She was a devoted wife to Ray, whom she loved so dear. If Ellen had a chance to choose--you bet she'd still be here.
But God knows what's best for you and me. He calls when day is done, and then He sets us free. Like a bird encaged with clip-ped wings, God sets us free and bids us sing.
But we remember where you've gone, and for you our hearts are glad. We'll brush the tears out of our eyes and try not to be sad. Farewell, dear Ellen, you are safe within God's tender care. We'll promise you to live in faith, believing that we shall one day join you there.
