In Memoriam ~ Kenneth Boyer

    May 27, 2003 at St. Jacob's ~ Ken's Funeral Service

These words are a tribute to our good friend, Ken.
He was one of the finest among God's good men.
We wish he were here with us yet today,
But God knew Ken was weary, and He called him away.

God called Ken away to a better place.
Where Ken could talk with the Savior face to face.
Now God will explain the reason for all earthly trials.
Ken can look back on each weary mile and smile, just smile.

He was a craftsman, quite handy with wood.
He loved making ornaments and his work was quite good.
He gave us a reindeer that stand by our chair.
It reminds us of the craftsman, Ken, and his good wife Betty, so fair.

Mow Ken and Betty are together again.
They've ended the journey, and are finished with pain.
So farewell to Ken, may you have heaven's rest.
God does all things well and His will is best.
