PINE VALLEY
Columbus Twp Cemetery
Just outside Bear Lake PA toward Columbus Warren Co PA
A very old cemetery is in wonderful condition,  No burials have taken place for many years There are a few stones that are eroded or crumbled or placed off site where they cannot be read but not many; and there are several large areas where some may be buried but never had markers; Many of the old stone have been repaired and recemented together and encased in concrete envelopes to preserve them where possible the broken stones have been put in protected area and placed so they can still be easily read, the earliest burial I found is 1818

NOTE several stones have the FAMILY names spelled incorrectly
I have tried to bring notice or to correct if I can; Use data at your own
risk

Sacred to the memory of Elnathan QUINBY who departed this life, August 7th,
1844 in the 81st year of his age
and at the bottom is the verse,
Epitaph:
Remember Friends As You Pass By,
As You Are Now, So Once Was I;
As I Am Now, You Soon Will be,
Prepare For Death and Follow Me

The stone beside him matching is
FAMYAN QUINBY again with the N
Consort of A.D. QUIM with an MBY by
departed this life April 7, 1840 age 27
No other stones found yet; that first name makes NO sense to me at all she
was his Dau in LAW and that is how it is carved, and in great shape

there is a flag holder ONLY denoting Rev War service and I find NO records
for him either name spelling for service ;
there also is a reply to one of the messages for Elnathan on the Warren
Boards at Rootsweb with pix of these stones
