The following is an excerpt from "The Henderson Family Tree" written by my great grandfather EDMOND KIMMEL HENDERSON in 1900.
"To Wilbur and Raymond Henderson from their father Edmond by these pages you may find something that will interest you in regard to your forefathers. Your great great great grand parents on your fathers side emigrated to this country over from Ireland and the others from Wales. My grandfather Andrew Henderson and his wife whose maiden name was Mitchell, lived and died in Westmoreland County , PA. at the age of almost ninety (90) having four sons and three daughters. Their names, my father James Henderson, Sampson Henderson, (who died in latrobe pa. in 1899.), Andrew Henderson, and John Henderson who was a soldier in the war of the rebellion. The daughters names were Mary Henderson Boyd, Delilah Henderson Miller and Elizabeth Henderson Weaver. My mothers name was Catherine Hughs born and died in Westmoreland County PA."
