- SHIVELY, WRIGHT posted by Larry Shively on Sunday, October 4, 1998
- Searching for information regarding a marriage in Westmoreland Co., PA recorded in an old journal. The entry mentions that Mr. Shively married Emily Wright of Greensburgh, PA on 7-Nov-1816. In another entry it appears that Emily Wright may have been a daughter of William Wright of Greensburgh. Mr. Shively was probably from Monangahalia Co., W.VA and became acquainted with the Wright family during the War of 1812. The journal mentions that Mr. Shively was acquainted with Emily Wright's brothers. The Shively researchers are not sure of the first name of Mr. Shively. Mr. Shively's first name was possibly Michael or Phillip. Would like to exchange information with those who might have any information regarding the Wright or Shively lines..
