- BOYLES, BRINKER, BROWN, FRANKS, HAINES, HENRY, HORN, KIRKPATRICK, STEINER posted by Scott Emmel on Saturday, December 12, 1998
- We are researching the descendents of Frederick and Catherine (FRANKS)HENRY from Hempfield township, Westmoreland County.
This family was in several articles in many recent posts involving Indian attacks titled the "Henry Massacre."
The two children that survived this massacre were Peter and Anna Margaret. Peter married Margaret HORN and moved north where he had a son, Peter Jr., who was married to Susanah Brinker and lived in Clarion county.
While we were following that lead, we found references to the following HENRYS who were born in Westmoreland County. According to the citation, the parents were also from Westmoreland County.
George T. Henry, son of William and Margaret(BOYLES) HENRY. John D. Henry, son of James and Margaret (BROWN) HENRY William A. Henry, son of Robert and Betsey (KIRKPATRICK) HENRY.
Does anyone have any information that would indicate the parents of William, James, or Robert?
I am beginning to believe either Frederick had some brothers in Hempfield Township or he remarried.
Also Anna Margaret had married a Adam STEINER (STONER). At some point according to an account from Peter, she was married to a Mr. HAINES.
Can anyone shed any light on any of these families?
