- Recently I found a William Harris 58 yrs old, buried in St. Vincent Cemetery. He was listed as being in the 109th PA Volunteers. Date of death was 27 Nov 1905. I am interested because this could be my GGrandfather. I know he appears on the 1900 Census but does not appear on the 1910 Census. My GGrandmother Rachael (Powell) Harris appears as Head of the Household in the 1910 Census. They were living in Unity Twp, Westmoreland County in 1900. Any information about William Harris and the 109th PA Volunteers would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

- In one of the "Henry" queries, Scott refers to the Frederick Henry family (of Westmoreland County) massacre as being in the 1893 & 1995 histories of Butler County. Why Butler County...I can't figure. Anyway, the person who was responsible for putting these books on the internet in Butler says they can't find it either (I had already searched the index of Henry names there). Does anyone know what books Scott is referring to???? I have emailed Scott....but no reply.

- I am looking for information on my grandparents, Joseph Pas(z)tor and Bertha Toth who were married in either Crabtree or Latrobe PA in 1915. They spoke Slovak. They immigrated from Austria/Hungary in 1912-14 and after marrying they moved to Cleveland, OH. My grandfather had a relative Andy (Andrew) who continued to live in the area. - I am looking for the parents of Susan Magdalena Klingensmith. Susan has also been referred to as Susanna but she went by Susan. She was born 1826 and died about 1895. Believe born and died in Greensburg, Westmoreland County. She married Thomas Hissem (1824-1846) about 1846. They had 8 children. According to the 1870 census Thomas was well established, a farmer and the census spelling Hissam. Any information on Susan's parents appreciated - There's so many Klingensmiths!

- Am looking for Joseph Thompson who married Rachel Mason Worthington after 1778 in Westmoreland County, PA. Joseph and Rachel left area to go down Ohio to KY and then Cape Girardeau, MO by 1800. Joseph had sons William, Joseph, Isaac and daughter Rachel, he died 1803 in Cape Girardeau, MO.

The only information thus far is from The Hepler Family History by Avice Hepler Morgan:
CYRUS M. HEPLER was born June 07, 1840 in Westmoreland County, PA, and died February 02, 1916 in Smithton, PA. He married MARY ANN FRICK September 13, 1860. She was born January 31, 1842 in Pittsburgh area?, PA, and died March 29, 1915 in Smithton, PA.

Cyrus' wife Mary Ann Frick was the daughter of �The Pittsburgh Fricks� who owned many of the oil fields around Pittsburgh. (I can't find any references to any oil Fricks. Lots of steel and coke Fricks but none with any family trees online.)

I have found a Mary Ann Frick, daughter of John Andrew Frick & Susanna Coder with similar but not exact dates. (See link below.) This Mary Ann Frick was born 3-13-1848 no mention of place but likely S. Huntington Twp, Pa. She has many ancestors listed as being in S. Huntington Twp... so in or near Smithton with many buried in Hoffman's Cemetery, Pa.

One of the daughters a twin,her name was either Mary or Catherine at the age of 16 was murdered by a man who poisoned her punch on her birthday; because she wouldnt marry him and care for his children.they also had a son Joseph who was killed in the mines at 20 when a car crushed him. - A great aunt and uncle moved from Decatur IN to Greensburg PA, probably before 1900. The last contact with the family in Indiana was in the 1930's. Looking for deaths and burials of James Parrish and wife, Elizabeth "Betsey"(Good) Parrish. Evidently lived in the city, possibly had a daughter, Gertrude. Any help would be appreciated.
