Miss Martha E. Townsend, 84, of Star Route, Spring Church, died Thursday, May 13, at Allegheny Vally Hospital, Natrona Heights.

A daughter of David and Clara Harbison Townsend, she was born Feb. 12, 1898, in South Bend Township, Armstrong County. Surving are two sisters; Mrs. Glenn (Janet) Ellenberger of Star Route, Spring Churc, and Mres. Dorothy Lias of Wrightstown, N.J; and a brother, Robert s. Townsend of Star Route, Spring Church. She was preced in ddeath by her parents, a brother and three sisters.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Clark Funeral Home in Elderton, where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Harrison Davidson will officiate, and interment will be in the South Bend Cemetery.
